PREPARE FOR SUCCESS
Take the first steps in your UX/UI Design journey by learning the basics of design thinking, interaction design and state-of-the-art design software. After setting up your tools and completing the introductory exercises, you’ll be ready to hit the ground running during once you start the bootcamp. During the prework phase, you'll create your first usability evaluation and site redesign. You'll also begin to refine your your design sensitivity with a number of engaging activities. Not only that, but you'll also be introduced to the basics of HTML, CSS, and website design which are essential skills for contemporary UX/UI designers.

UX DESIGN AND BUSINESS PROBLEMS
Module 1 will provide you with a strong foundation in user-centered design and understanding business problems
You'll start by mastering the art of user research, learning how to implement both qualitative and quantitative methods to gather valuable insights from users. You'll utilize tools to synthesize these findings, acquiring the ability to extract meaningful insights that drive your design decisions. This module also focuses on creating user personas, helping you understand your target audience's needs and expectations.
Moving forward, you'll tackle problem identification and solution generation. You'll learn to define the problems that need solving and develop a strategic approach to address them effectively. Through creative brainstorming, you'll generate alternative and innovative ideas for your desired solutions. By the end of Module 1, you'll have the skills to set the stage for user-centered design, ensuring your designs meet user needs and business objectives while also gaining insights through competitive analysis and stakeholder engagement.

UX/UI DESIGN AND PROTOTYPING
In Module 2, you'll dive into the exciting world of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design.
This phase will teach you how to transform your insights and ideas into tangible design solutions. You'll start by defining the information architecture, aligning your content with users' mental models, and creating wireframes to establish a consistent layout. User testing will become a pivotal tool for you to validate the usability of your designs.
As you progress, you'll explore the aesthetics of interface design, ensuring your designs align with the company's brand identity. You'll create both mobile and desktop versions of your solution, showcasing its responsiveness across platforms. Deconstructing existing user interfaces will further enhance your design skills, making use of usability heuristics and visual patterns to improve your products. Additionally, you'll perform a visual competitive analysis to enhance your creativity and document brand identity and design principles for a cohesive user experience. By the end of Module 2, you'll have the practical skills to create visually compelling and user-friendly designs.

DESIGN IMPLEMENTATION AND TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY
Now that you've practised and demonstrated your skills in UI, UX and user research, you'll employ design thinking and iterative methods to anticipate user needs and prioritize functionalities, ensuring you create a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that meets user expectations. You'll learn how to include best practices for accessibility — crucial to ensuring an inclusive user experience.
You'll also delve into the technical aspects of design by learning how to incorporate HTML and CSS and ensure frictionless collaboration with web development teams. This knowledge will allow you to assess the feasibility of your digital solution based on web standards and export and optimize visual resources to meet technical constraints. Effective communication with developers will be a key skill as you work collaboratively to ensure that your designs are implemented correctly. Finally, you'll learn to visually represent user data for a personalized and unique user experience. By the end of Module 3, you'll be well-prepared to bring your designs to life and deliver impactful solutions to your future clients or employers.

Our Admissions team will walk you through each simple step
Once you've submitted your application, you'll be invited to a personal interview. This is our opportunity to get to know you, and your opportunity to ask your most burning questions. We'll make sure that you're embarking on the right bootcamp journey and give you all of the information you need.
You'll be assigned a very simple technical test, designed to measure your aptitude. Ironhack's bootcamps are beginner-friendly, and so is the test, so don't stress. No hard skills required here. (That's what your bootcamp is for!)
Now it's time to sign the Student Agreement, which makes you an offical Ironhacker! At this point you'll also pay the deposit. (The rest of your tuition fee payment will depend on your chosen financing option.)
As an official Ironhack bootcamp student, you'll have access to online prework that helps us level the playing field and ensure that everyone is bootcamp-ready!
