Data Science & Machine Learning

We’ve always got our fingers on the pulse of the tech industry, paying close attention to the roles companies are struggling to fill and the skills needed by tomorrow’s aspiring tech professionals.

It’s no secret that companies around the world are crying out for Data Science and Machine Learning professionals. In true Ironhack fashion, we’re meeting the need by bringing you an all-new Data Science and Machine Learning Bootcamp

In 9 weeks you can learn the skills you need to launch your career in tech. Complement your resume with projects that recruiters will love, and get the career support you need to join one of tech’s fastest growing niches.

Why Learn Data Science and Machine Learning?

If you’re looking for a career path with lasting power look no further than Data Science and Machine Learning, as there are few industries today that don't rely on them. With these skills you can work anywhere from government agencies and car manufacturers, to high fashion houses and music streaming platforms. The possibilities really are limitless!

As the technology grows so does demand for new skills, including Azure Machine Learning (281% growth), AI Art Generation (239%), Amazon EMR (227%) and Midjourney (218%), according to Udemy's Q1 2023 Workplace Learning Index. Our new bootcamp can put you on the path to becoming an NLP Engineer, currently the most in-demand specialization in the data world.

The Data Science and ML career path

These skills can complement a number of other roles in tech, but they will set you off on the right path for junior positions as a Data Scientist or AI Engineer.

Data Science vs Data Analytics: Which Should You Choose

The day-to-day of a Data Scientist and of a Data Analyst might look very similar to the untrained eye, but they’re actually quite different. If you’re struggling to decide which path to take, consider the similarities and differences of these two professionals:

A Data Scientist: works on developing complex models and algorithms to analyze large datasets, and use machine learning and predictive analytics to uncover hidden insights. Their work drives the creation of more intelligent, autonomous systems that can solve complex problems, personalize experiences, and unlock new possibilities across various industries and aspects of daily life.

A Data Analyst: typically spends their day collecting, processing, and analyzing data to help make informed decisions. They often use statistical tools and software to interpret data sets and communicate findings through reports and visualizations. This helps organizations in a number of ways, from optimizing processes to making the right business decisions.

Choose Data Science if you’re interested in Machine Learning and the technical side of AI. Choose Data Analytics if you enjoy turning data into insights to drive decision making.

Unlocking a Career in Artificial Intelligence

If you’re brand new to tech, you might not know that Data Science and Machine Learning are one of the many facets of Artificial Intelligence.

Let’s ask everyone’s favorite bot, ChatGPT, how it uses Data Science and Machine Learning:

“As ChatGPT, I am a product of advancements in data science and machine learning, which are crucial to my creation and operation. Data science has provided the methodologies for collecting, cleaning, and organizing the massive datasets that form the basis of my training material. Machine learning, particularly deep learning—a subset of machine learning involving neural networks with many layers—has been instrumental in creating the algorithms that enable me to understand and generate human-like text.

My underlying model was trained on a diverse range of internet text by using machine learning techniques to recognize patterns, understand language structure, and generate responses that are contextually relevant. This training involves processing and learning from vast amounts of text data, refining my ability to understand queries and produce coherent, informative, and contextually appropriate answers.”

Of course this tech goes beyond chatbots, powering everything from your favorite streaming platforms to groundbreaking MedTech advancements. If you’re keen to gain some competitive AI skills, or launch your career as a fully-fledged AI professional, you’re in the right place.
